Title: Preferred BW Conv & Toning Technique?

Have been along-time lurker on the MF recent work thread. the quality is amazing. With my interest in developing an BW conversion and toning process (silver tone, etc) I find some of the B&W shots very startling in their clarity, micro contrast and toning.

Anyone care to share their preferred conversion process and toning techniques?
