I've just bought a G9 as a 'carry around' camera and am very impressed with everything bar the optical v/f. I hate using the LCD and was wondering about using the Voigtlander 35mm external v/f.

Does anyone use this or similar? Any other suggestions?

somehow the 28mm voigtländer viefinder is very close to the 35mm setting of the g9. i have the full metal round one, i guess it is because the VF is made for 135 film, i.e. 2:3 ratio and the GP is somehow stubbier, rather 4,5:6.
it is a nice combo, looks great and the viewfinder is as good as any viefinder gets.
two problems though: flash is disabled due to a small switch in the hotshoe and the camera becomes a bit fiddely to get out of a pocket.
