Title: which platform supports the most wide angle lens

i am about to get a p25/45 for my next step of interior photography , and going for mamiya AFD II with 28mm lens and so ,  i shoot mostly interiors , and would like to know which platform supports the most or better wide angle lens.   advise is appreciate !

Alpa does make some best engineered cameras on the market, but sometimes can be a bit cost prohibitive (especially with the dollar falling to new lows).

Another good option is the Cambo Wide DS.  It's a cost effective solution to Alpa and currently Phase One is running specials on them when they are purchased with P25+s or P45+s.  Below is a PDF of the special:

I could be wrong, but 35mm DSLRs supports the widest angle lenses. One of the best so far is the Nikkor 12-24mm zoom, apparently sharp from corner to corner. If the Nikon D3 does not have enough pixels for you, you could use the lens on a 21mp 1Ds3 with an adapter.

To get the FoV that a 12mm lens on 35mm format will give you, you'd need approximately an 18mm lens for a P45.

the 12-24 is a DX lens no?

the widest FF nikkor is 14

(or the nikkor 8 mm fisheye- film only ?)

I think the OP was wondering which MF camera platform supports the widest lens

that is the 24 supported by cambo, alpa, horseman and maybe more

One may of course be able to get a wider FOV on an MF DB by (flat) stitching with a lense with a larger image circle than the 24 - maybe the roden 28 - I dont know

Except that you'll lose some of that field of view correcting the verticals in post and may potentially lose more correcting for any non-rectilinear distortion of the lens at 12mm (I don't know how well corrected it is). Just something to keep in mind when assessing the options.

My mistake. I was referring to the new 14-24 G lens. You'd need a 21mm lens to get the same FoV on a P45.

That's true. If it's a shift lens you need, then I guess a 24mm lens on a P45 would be better, except perhaps when you need a more panoramic effect.

Silvestri Bicam can use the 24mm Apo Digitar,  plus the Bicam has a full range of movements like a true view camera

If you have movements, you could add some degrees by shifting and stitching.
