Title: Batch correcting JPEG color space and balance?

Using someone else's camera, I accidentally shot a folder of large Jpegs instead of RAWs.

With RAWs, I would simply open them in ACR and apply the correction of the grey card image to all the files.

Also, the camera was set to sRGB not Adobe.

So, how can I apply the grey card correction to all the other files in CS3?

Also, how can I batch change the folder of images from sRGB to Adobe RGB?

Sorry. CS3.

Sorted in any case.

I just created an Action which involved correcting the grey card image and then ran that using the Batch command.

You can and probably still should process the JPEGs in Camera Raw.

Excuse my ignorance, but how do I open a Jpeg in Camera Raw?

General Preferences, File handling (Prefer Camera Raw for JPEG Files).

Just wishing that ACR would have sharpening like CS3's Unsharp Mask with the same exact dialogue as CS3. For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out ACR's sharpening for macro photography. After a whole RAW capture, perfectly rendered through ACR, I always end up back in CS3 to get the final sharpening.

Not a computer engineer, but everything else in ACR 4.x is awesome.  My hats off to the Adobe team for getting us all this far with RAW.

Run the Detail slider up to near 100 and you'll be getting about the same relative sharpening as Photoshop's USM...

Thanks for that. But, I'm obviously being very dim............

I have ticked the box. However, right clicking on a Jpeg file in either CS3 or Bridge does not now present the option of opening it in ACR 4.

What am I doing wrong?

Open the file in bridge then right click the images and select open in camera raw.  Wayne (it will also open tiffs)
