They also announced a metric assload of new lenses.  Most with jiggle suppression.  (http://www.dpreview.com for those.)

Maybe not what you would use in a cavern, but this is a real live Foveon, small, light and unobtrusive.  Price will be the big object.  If it's around $600, it would be worth having, just for that image flavor in a 28mm.
We see that Sigma is no stranger to bright glass, with the intro of the 200~500 F/2.8!

This looks like a great walk-around, pocket camera, but 800 max ISO is disappointing.  For me, one of the primary purposes to have a full-frame sensor in a pocket cam is for good high-ISO performance.  I guess the G9 will be the performance benchmark for this camera.

Has anyone noticed the fact that the G9 is sold-out/out of stock in most online and brick-and-mortar photo stores.  There is definitely a market for a good pocket camera for a pro/amateur audience.
