Title: Black border/surround on image:

I have been asked to put a black border around an image that looks like the old "negative rebate" trick used in black and white prints.

The best way of describing it is to give this example......

Can anyone point me in the direction of an article that describes how to do this?

Alternatively, is it possible to purchase a selection of frames that could be applied to any image?

Any of these are probably overkill if you only need to do it once.

If you have Lightroom you can do it from there by creating or buying a frame (to the ratio of your printed image) and using a custom identity plate in the print module.  One place for borders is istockphoto.com.  There's a video on how to do it here:

Do you have PS? You can do this easiy with PS. Use one of the Dry Media Brushes.
