Title: Missing Focal Length Value in EXIF data (P25/AFDII
Post by: John_Black on December 16, 2007, 12:06:58 am
The EXIF data captures the aperture and shutter speed, but not the focal length or lens.  Shouldn't the focal length be there?  I'm using an 80mm F2.8 AF lens.

Focal length shows up in Lightroom for my AFD II.

Stop bragging!    Okay, something is due for a firmware update... The focal length doesn't show up on the back of the P25 either.  I'm not sure if its the back or the camera yet.

I searched Phase's website and found this firmware update:  Phase Firmware Update with Intel Macs (http://www.phaseone.com/HOME/Content/Support/Article.aspx?articleid=2250&LanguageID=1&layoutid=SupportSite%20-%20Main).  For some reason this is not listed on the download links when you select the back from their support menu.

The update had some problems and failed several times.  It took about 30 minutes but now it works and the lens focal length is captured.
