The 2.2 version that came with the camera did not work (i.e. computer saw the camera, but the utility refused to accept it). I updated to 2.2.1 from Canon USA. Neither version worked with my 1Ds mk III, but both worked with the 1D mk III and the 40D. So I am still in a quandary, is it my camera or the North American Windows version is at fault? Apparently the Mac versions do not have this problem.
