This is nothing new, I used it like that on a two week shoot recently. It works but it's painfully slow. I hope they make a real tethered solution in lightroom soon and that they speed up the whole program, photoshop ACR is just so much faster.

i shoot into LR all the time....tethered into c1...watched folder in LR....works perfectly....it really helps to shoot to one drive and copy the files to another....much faster....
