Title: Expodisc

I am curious if anyone has noticed this about the expodisc.  The only difference I see between AWB and a custom WB with an expodisc in an overall warm tone.  It's not an accurate one either.  Might as well be using a warming filter.  The expodisc box says it's a neutral filter.  The device itself is not marked neutral or warm.  I've included a comparison shot for some thoughts on the matter.  Thanks.  Greg[attachment=2744:attachment]

Maybe you have an incorrect expodisc in the box. Call the company and ask for a exchange. Check the Quality paper slip inside - do the numbers sound right to you?

About expodisc vs AWB:

AWB on most dSLRs is pretty foolproof when it comes to shooting in bright daylight. Try doing the same experiment in mixed lighting or indoors with flourscent/daylight/thungsten and post results. I am sure you will be surprised as well.

As Umesh suggests perhaps you got the ExpoDisc+warming, generally used for portrait work.
