Title: LR 1.1 can't import the library

Oops, this is just about my worst nightmare.  Apparently once LR1.1 consistency checks the library it complains that its in an unusable format. This is true of my oldest backups as well...

Hope there is a fix.

Not seen that here.
After the upgrade LR didn't automatically open my existing library as expected or see it at all, but happily opened the most recent back up, converted it to the new format and seems to be happily running OK now.

Does LR 1.0 open your library?

Also my Lightroom 1.1 did not open automatically any library. Try File - Open Catalog. (browse to the folder where you had Your Lightroom 1.0  library file). This worked in my case.

I upgraded on my notebook last night.  At first Lightroom 1.1 would not load the existing catalog (library)  couldn't get it to do anything.  Finally I went to the library (with a backup of course) and double clicked on the file (library) and then it went to doing the conversion necessary for 1.1 to work.  Lightroom was then able to find the library.  
Thought I had lost something there for a while
