Title: z3100 blacks "blotchy"
Post by: Wayne Fox on May 31, 2007, 06:56:40 pm
After installing the new firmware, recalibrating to the paper, and creating a new profile, my solid blacks now are not "solid" and clean.

It is very subtle.  I really can't see it anywhere except in the blacks of a graduated panel.  I don't know if I have a head clog, or what to look at.

Try printing the test page from the printer's front panel. This will tell you immediately if you have any head clogs.
I've been printing some glossy black & white images with the new firmware installed, and the blacks are smooth as butter.
