Title: Which color calibration tool can you recommend?

I had a Pantone Huey.

It worked well ONCE.

The second calibration ended in a greenish screen, that wasn't even useable for internet browsing.

Now I need a good calibration tool, as color calibration is very important to me.

After my Huey experience I'd only go with a professional quality tool

I am about to buy Adobe Lightroom.

Which color calibration tool can your recommend?

Get an EyeOne Display-2. That's the simple answer.

There are two versions, one by Gretag Macbeth, one by Pantone, the Pantone being slightly cheaper.

Are they the same - or is there a difference in the software?

PS: Chromix.com has the Optix on sale for 279.00. I have heard, that it can use preset printer profiles (like for upscale Epsons) and you do not need to buy expensive printer calibration suites like the Eye One Photo. Is that true and would you say those extra 100$ are worth it?
