Title: Phase Plus backs

I am trying to figure this out:

With a Phase + back does it mean I can use the LCD to focus a Hasselblad SWC and then close the shutter and shoot to get a sharp image?  If this is the case, it will make the SWC903 that I have more valuable than it was with film.

Henry,

The live preview feature of the Plus series is only available in C1 Pro. I don't believe you can use directly on the camera, as when I was demo-ing a Plus unit in Live Preview the back's LCD showed the standard menu configuration, not a live preview.

The LCD is very impressive and you might be able to confidently check focus when the back is on the camera. I've not had the chance to test this though.

Eric is correct.  You have to be tethered to utilize the Live Preview on the new P+ backs.
There is also a fine focus window that can be launched to help with critical focus.

Thanks Eric and Chris.

Does that mean I tether with C1 Pro and check the LCD as I re-focus to get a sharp image?  If that is the case, I think this option is still much better than using that Hasselblad ground glass to focus and then re-mounting the back to shoot.

It means you connect a laptop or PC to the back and use the laptop/PC screen to check focus.
