Post by: JerryReed on May 07, 2007, 06:46:55 am
Does anyone have any insights into what new features will be provided in the SINAR update of Capture Shop?

Jerry:

If you mean Captureshop and not Exposure, then I expect any new Captureshop versions will be primarily for compatibility reasons (eVolution 75/Hy6). I would expect any new features in Capturshop to be minimal.

I think that we have to be very very patient to wait for the new Exposure program !

It will not be operative soon...

My understanding is that compatibility for all Sinar/Eyelike products will be gradual. Likely starting with newer (eVolution/Hy6) and progressing to older (M22) products. A shame they couldn't have it ready for everyone at the same time.

From what I've seen, it will be worth the wait.

Steve:

Are you able to describe what it is that you have seen that is worthwhile, or are not able to discuss it.

Dear Jerry,

sorry for my late reply to your question about the new Captureshop version. I am busy on a business trip currently.

Here the precise list of new features and improvements included in CS Version 5.5:

- The minimal requirements for the Mac Operating System has been changed to 10.4.9.

- New Sinarback eVolution 75 is supported.

- New Sinarback eMotion 54 LV with Live Image is supported

- New Sinarback eMotion 75 LV with Live Image is supported

- Sinarback 54 MC / 54 M now supports also Live Image without the auxiliary of an Sinar LC Shutter

- New Sinarback 54M-75H/Hasselblad H1/H2 Adapter 552.45.053 is supported

- Black Reference Calibration (BRC) philosophy has been changed also for all 1st Generation Sinarbacks. Now all Sinarbacks make a BRC after the capture and no longer before it. Furthermore, a BRC is automatically made every 15 minutes.

- A message is being displayed when a shutter service of the connected Sinar m is advised.

- System Stability Device (SSD) has been further improved.

- Noise Reduction Gear (NRG) has been further improved and speed-optimized for Intel-Macs.

- Image Quality Engine (IQE) has been further improved

I hope this answers fully.

Best regards,
Thierry
