I'm looking for a good rain cover for my Mamiya AFD II w/Phase 30 back. Will a Kata 702 fit?
I guess I could go with a heavy duty plastic contractor bag found at Home Depot but I looking for something else - better.
What are others using?

they are for 35mm based cameras, im not sure they would fit.

The Kata fits the Hasseblad H2 so it will fit the mamiya.

Michael, as a former Contax 645 user, do you think the Kata would fit on that camera with or without the battery grip attached? Would it cover the C645 with the 350mm lens mounted?

I've contacted Aquatech and they responded back that they are only 35mm based and currently do not fit MF.
Michael - thanks for the heads up - I'll go the Kata route. Do I just need the 702 or do I need the attachment to that as well? Not too sure of the part number just remember it covers part of the lens.

i bought one of those, very simply made. i found it quite slippery nylon to hold, and hard to see the controls. i think the kata looks far better.

I'm concerned that it might be too small for a AFD and P30 back. I am going to check it out anway.

Just checked the write up on the 690 - it appears that they are ment for small SLR's - they mention Canon Rebel. Unless I missed something I don't see any mention on it fitting MF. It's back to the 702 for me....

I have emailed Kata for more information regarding length and diameter of lenses that will fit my Mamiya 645 AFD. I will post their response when it arrives.

"First of all I would like to thank you for taking an interest in our products. The rain cover for your camera is not the E-690 but is the E-702. It can fit up to a 200mm lens and can fit a large diameter lens because of the velcro adjustable hood."
