Title: B&W Image in Photoshop[

I shot an image with my canon 400 in B&W.I was viewed on the camera screen as B&W,but when I downloaded th image to Adobe photoshop ...it comes up as a color image.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening ,and how do I correct it??

You're shooting RAW, I take it?

Jpegs get saved in black and white while RAW files are only tagged as B+W.  The RAW data is still color.  If you want the tagging honored you'll need to bring the photos up in canon's software.
