Working on a new project and looking for that classic kodachrome look but not able to find it in medium format etc I am looking at software such as alien skin exposure to simulate the look once I scan my film.
Has anyone used this software and how do they find it's results?

I tried it and liked some of the effects, can't say whether they were realistic or not though. I believe that they have a free trial, so you should try out yourself.

I've used Exposure since they released it. It, generally, does a good and accurate job of mimicking most film types and grain structure. I use to shoot a lot of K64. I can't say it "looks just like Kodachrome", but it does a failry credible job. Actually, Exposure is the first software to do a truly good job simulating cross-process. It's worth putting in your Photoshop "toolkit" for later use, even if you find the Kodachrome not to your liking.

I use it more for B&W conversion than for color-film mimicry, and it does both tasks well. It is quite customizable, so you can start from the provided templates and save your own modified or original ones.
The free trial is a good place to start.
