I used to go there 30 years ago (when I was a student at UBC) and the folks there
to be very helpful.

Post by: gochugogi on February 09, 2007, 04:30:18 pm: If you mean the original Vancouver (Washington), forget it. Head across the Columbia River to Portland for photo shops. No sales taxes and public transport is free in the downtown area. I used to love shopping at Camera World but it's now a huge Ritz.

While in Vancouver, check out the Fort Vancouver museum. They even have a full scale replica of the original Fort Vancouver (before it moved north).
