The Farne Islands lie a few miles off the North East Coast of England and in the summer are host to Puffins and Arctic Terns, wear a stout hat or be prepared to bleed. I am a relative beginner at bird photography and am still delighted when I get a reasonably sharp image irrespective of any artistic merit. Ken

Shooting just over 1,000 images in an hour I get lucky sometimes. Ken

The flying puffin with sand eels is excellent, Ken. They're damn difficult birds to catch in flight.

Jeremy I limbered up by trying to photograph swifts, they are extremely fast and erratic fliers. After that Puffins were possible especially with bird tracking in the A7R5. Ken
