Title: Ecole d'art et du faux - School of art and the fake
Post by: Robert Roaldi on December 31, 2025, 09:07:46 am

Short French language documentary about an art school in Belgium where students learn to create realistic facsimiles of traditional materials for purposes of historic recreation. They turn plaster into wood, doors into marble.

A funny thing about the French: they write so clearly, but then destroy it all with their murderous ways of pronouncing what they write. I can understand an educated Brit speaking French, but it takes forever to attune one’s ear to the native speaker. ;-)
