Title: How's it Looking?
Post by: KLaban on December 02, 2025, 08:20:08 am
Shot in 2019 and for some reason unknown to me I’ve only just got around to processing the file.

‘How’s it Looking?’ Varanasi, India. Leica M240, Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH FLE.

Very interesting. The "painter" placement and how he seems to look somewhere outside the frame is very nice. The big stones/wall on the left balance the image and also lead to the "painter". The paint colors offer a good contrast vs the different walls.
I like it a lot.

Francois, thanks for looking and for your comments, appreciated.

I was tidying the computer and happened upon this file which had escaped my memory, why I hadn't processed it all those years ago escapes me. I guess the moral of this is to never throw anything away!

I also found a few others that could be worth revisiting. I don't know, but perhaps updates to software help shed new light on old files?

As an aside, many thanks to LFI – The Leica Fotografie International Gallery - for highlighting this shot as a Leica Mastershots image.

Again, never throw anything away!
