Nice, picturesque, shot of a time gone by - tight grained pine from prime trees used for the mortise and tenon frame, flat cut siding planks, set into a hillside for easy access.
Not many of these 100+ year old barns around. We had one in Iowa that was hit by a flat wind and slid off the stone foundation into a pile of sticks.
