as an owner of some Nikon z lenses : these lenses are silent too, and you can uses them with a pacemaker.

"Scaring wildlife away?" I cannot remember the last time I use autofocus that was not silent. Might this article be better titled as "Canon autofocus catches up?"

This article is somewhat embarrassing in its ignorance of the market: Sony uses this kind of motors since several years now, it just calls them differently. Thus, the article reads like an infomercial.
