We’ve just updated one of our classic articles on polarizing filters. Check it out here: https://luminous-landscape.com/polarizing-filters-the-science-behind-clearer-more-vibrant-photos/
How often do you use a polarizer in your work?
Any tips, favorite shots, or situations where it made a big difference? Or maybe times it didn’t help much?
We'd love to hear how you use (or don’t use) them out in the field.

I discovered, early on in my calendar days, that using a polariser did wonders for the sky, but turned tanned bodies into brick. At least, that was my experience using Kodachrome 64 and Nikkor lenses in sunshine. Figures: (npi) it’s supposed to cut through reflections such as oil and water ones. Never used that filter with people again.
