Thanks. That's an interesting combination for a hummingbird, which usually requires a very fast shutter speed.

Flash on 1/16 power is pretty quick, and 1/200 is the sync speed. I have others taken in natural light which I'll post when I get home from France: most of those were taken at 1/4000; even so, the wings are often blurred unless I'm lucky enough to catch them at the start or end of a beat.
