Title: Montana Sunrise
Post by: wdthomas on February 16, 2025, 11:40:54 am
Hello, I'm new to Luminous Landscape, so let me know if I'm in the wrong forum to ask for feedback. I'm an amateur and never submit my photos to be evaluated. However, I plan to print and frame this one as a gift to the person that owns the property where I was staying.

Interestingly, I didn't like the picture when I first saw it, but it's grown to be one of my favorites over the past few months.

I'd love your feedback on how I can make the edit more impactful. It's a peaceful scene, so I'm trying to balance the peacefulness with enough drama to be interesting.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

David

You can certainly play a lot with the file... or leave it as it is, to preserve the natural feel of the scene. My preference would be the latter.

I think your growing fondness for it is justified. It has a subtle, moody feel that I would keep as is.

Beautiful vista… Yes, I also do understand why this shot can be loved. The vast expanse of land, those hills and the razing light are pleasing.
I would preserve the feeling you experienced at the moment. I like it as it is… nothing is exaggerated and it conveys the very same feelings you described above.

By the way, welcome aboard!
