Title: Computer build

I bet this has been asked before, but given that better gear comes out all the time I am asking again. I am looking for a guide to buying components to build my own high-end photo processing computer. The putting together I can handle but choosing components that will work together has me flummoxed. Thanks!

Unless you have a specific need, don't.
Most gaming machines will fit the needs, even with RAM.
Nvidia card, 128gb of RAM, NVMe drives, 10gbE & you're more or less done.  It's just how much are you willing to spend.

I use an AMD Ryzen 7 4800 series. It has an SSD, good RAM, a hard disk, a fast processor, and a gaming cabinet plus a graphics card.
