Title: Adobe Bridge CS3-invisible files?

Every once in awhile, like tonight, Adobe Bridge CS3 cannot see some of the files I have worked on and saved in a given folder. I can see the files through Windows XP and through Adobe Dialogue. These "invisible files" are identical in format and processing to all the other files in the folder as far as I can tell. To get AB to recognize them I have to reopen and resave them again into the same file, sometimes a few times. FWIW under view I have checked "show hidden files". I had this problem a couple of years ago with AB and CS2. The problem went away on its own.

It is annoying and tedious more than anything. Though it causes me some anxiety on occasion when I think that I forgot to save some of the work I have done. After a long day it always appears that I have lost some files, but I can find them as soon as I look for them outside of AB.

Any thoughts?

In Bridge's menu:

Tools
Cache
Purge cache for this folder

This will force Bridge to rebuild the thumbnails and folder view from scratch.

Actually purging the cache is not doing it. Right this moment. I have a folder open. In "details" mode I see 14 images. In "thumbnails" I only see 12. Purging the cache does not help?

Any thoughts?
