Title: Setting up Mac for Lightroom printing to Epson P7570

Just switched from Windows and trying to make my first print on a Mac. Not going well.
Any tutorials you can recommend for new mac users printing in Lightroom?

Printing to a Epson P7570, first issue I run into is not finding profiles to select in Lightroom. Searched web, I don't have a ICCProfiles folder where there is supposed to be one. Using Sequoia 15.1.1

Printing was slick from Windows, so far Mac is putting up roadblocks at every step. Likely just unfamiliarity with the OS.

Make sure 16-bit is turned off!

You should find your custom profiles there...

Thanks William,
When I go to select a profile I get a blank list, nothing there.
I saw a hack for copying the Epson profiles to the colorsync folder, but could not find them where specified in the Library > Printers > EPSON > InkjetPrinter2 > ICCProfiles. I don't have a ICCProfiles folder in Inkjetprint2.
I'll have to see if I can download them directly from Epson.

When I updated to 15.1 I also had missing profiles. I deleted the printer. On Epson.com support I chose the 15.1 os and downloaded the drivers and when done that way I had the Epson profiles. All the others I went to Canson and Hahnemuhles sites and downloaded.

I only see MacOS 15.x listed, which is the one I installed. Printer Driver - Postscript 3 v13.2611/07/24

Am I downloading the wrong driver?

I may want to try the OS 14.x driver, it has the Drivers and Utilities Combo Package Installer, which is not available for OS 15.x

I do see a note that: This file requires optional PostScript Module to be installed in the printer.
Is this something I need to get from Epson? I had no issue printing to this printer from Windows.

Know a good bit about this but not an expert. After downloading the drivers you must go to system settings, printers and scanners and go to the bottom where it says add a printer.
It should give you two options, Bonjour and IP. You want IP. That gives you full settings including profiles. The Bonjour is a crippled simplified driver, you don't want that.

Mac OS sometimes doesn't play well with Adobe. Missing ICC profiles is a common issue reported on many photo forums. The easiest way to get the profiles into Lightroom or Photoshope is to download them from Epson or download them from your paper manufacturer and then manually place them into Library/ColorSync/Profiles. Restart computer and they should appear in LR as a choice.

I have been dealing with the Adobe/Apple bug with limited paper offerings and no borderless printing. This morning I updated my Mac os system from 15.0 to 15.1.1
and everything is back to normal. Not sure if this fixes the profiles for you but everything else is spot on.

I'm running OS 15.1.1 also.

When I try sending a print to the P7570 with the Printer Driver - SCP7570_P9570_PS3_1326_AM (downloaded from Epson.com for the Mac 15.x OS) I get a "Command Error, Check the Printer Driver Settings."  Not sure what is going wrong here. On the epson driver download site it says "This file requires optional Postscript Module to be installed in the printer." Really? Am I downloading the correct printer driver?

I still can't see Epson profiles. I downloaded profiles from Canson and they show up after placing them in the colorsync profiles folder. I can't find Epson profiles that are downloadable on the web.

As earlier stated, Epson is rolling out updated drivers for the new OS. Sounds like you got the wrong driver. Contact Epson support or maybe in their support forums.

It needs to be the IP driver not the Bonjour which is a simplified crippled driver.

I gave up on using Epson's Mac drivers and switched to printing to Epson Print Layout (their RIP) directly from Adobe, and couldn't be happier.

It was the driver, I used the previous version 14.x of the P7570 driver and I am up printing.
