Lightroom Classic v13.5.1 and Photoshop v25.12 updates (via Adobe subscription) are no longer compatible with my:
MacPro (purchased 9/2014; 64GB RA; AMD FirePro graphic card)
Current OS is Monterey version 12.7.6
Yes, my MacPro is quite old. Is the Mac Studio a good replacement? I am retired, and my volume of digital photography work is 20% of what is used to be.
Thanks for any advice.

This will blow the doors off your old unit and isn't expensive:

Andrew,
Thanks so much for this excellent guidance.
(Looks like my procrastination may work in my favor here.)
And thanks for all your helpful commentary over the years on this site!

I don't have Andrew's expertise but agree with him. I'd hesitate to buy the current Mac Studio M2 since the new Mac Mini comes so close. If you really want a Mac Studio, I'd await the M4 Studio which is rumored to be released in mid 2025. It sounds like you'll do well with the new Mini. Good luck.

+1 & if you think a macbook pro is better suited ; the M4pro-max is at the moment the fastest mac.

You can check the following link to read a review of the new Mac Mini vs. the Mac Studio: https://www.macrumors.com/guide/mac-mini-vs-mac-studio/
If you lean toward the Mac Studio, you should wait a little longer to get the model with the new processor.
