Along with Sarah Moon, Deborah Turbeville has had the honour of having launched a thousand imitators. Thing is, the original is still the best.
This is one of the very rare videos where she can be heard; she has been in several interviews, but the other ones I have found are only on paper.
To try to become the artist that she was demands being within her head, living her experiences from childhood onwards. Can’t be done; all that can be done are the rip-offs.
