I read "A variable aperture is acceptable for this lens, even if it extends to f/6.3 at the long end..."
I thought from the info at Fujifilm it is a constant F/5.6 for the whole zoom range.
And I think a slow lens like 100-200 F/5.6 (79-158mm in 35mm format equivalent) costing 2000 euro better be good for that money.

I've been using this lens, along with the 45-100 f4, for some time now and I love it. Having the 50S, its image stabiliser is a real bonus but regardless of that, it's one of the sharpest lenses I've used across its entire focal range. Having been used to carrying Fuji's GX680III around with its 100-200 and support, the GF100-200 is light as a feather...well sort of. It's light enough to carry all day and won't stress the camera mount unduly. I rarely use filters but do often carry a polariser, especially when shooting landscapes (luckily I have lots of 67mm filters from my Contax 35mm kit), and that clever sliding flap in the hood makes turning the polariser a breeze. For an oldie like myself that's been shooting 6x7, 6x8 and 6x9 over many decades, people bleating about the weight and size of a lens like this simply makes me smile. This is beautifully engineered; its IQ is exemplary, and it extends the versatility of the Fuji GFX system. It certainly gets my vote.
