A warm spring day nonetheless.

Humbly, that is what I didn't see,... on site,... but afterwards in post I liked very much the rendered image.
When I showed the finished result, my better half said it looks like a "Jackson Pollock",.. guess I am now a follower of this great artist.

Thanks so much.
Made a 16x20 print using Canson Infinity Baryta paper on my Epson 3880,... and am very pleased to see how it turned out.

The print must look great. I returned many times to look at this photo.

Made a few prints,.. and the one with print Brightness set higher, surprised me. It made the "black" elements most notable and stand out very well from the background.
Amazing,.... what "Nature" has to offer us all.

These are always difficult shots to take. As with this type of chaotic abstract, you are trying to find both balance and symmetry within randomness. Which is virtually impossible to do. But when you do pull it off (or even if you get close), it can still be amazingly satisfying and well worth the effort.
As others have mentioned, it does look a bit like a Pollock painting. But even his paintings have a sense of symmetry, balance and rhythm to them. Chaotic yes, but still very satisfying and interesting to look at.
I think you've made a pretty good job of doing that with this shot and I bet it will now set you off, to look for more variations of this type of work :)

Dave, great comments. I just spent part of a day looking at "chaotic" paintings. I find I have to change how I look to "experience" these types of images.

Your excellent and intriguing photograph reminds me of something Michael Reichmann used to say often when we were in an area of heavy trees or brush, "Messy! Nature is so messy."
One day someone we were shooting with replied, "Embrace the Mess!".
Your photograph certainly embraces the mess and the result is excellent. Congratulations.

Chris, it was the "Dunes and Marshes" episode of the Lula video journals, where Michael said that, or at least a version of those words. Not that I have watched them all about a zillion times you understand. Oh no, not me... In fact if I remember correctly, it was me that bugged you both relentlessly, into to making a few more, after about a 3 year hiatus in producing them. Well me and several other members of the forum that is. Many of which, no longer seem to be on here. Unfortunately. :(
Ah, if only you both could be making some more now :'(
Dunes and Marshes is my favourite episode of the LLVJ's by the way :)
In fact I am going to watch that episode again right now ;D

Thank you all kindly for your comments, not sure if I will ever again "stumble" upon a scene like this one on a spring afternoon.,... but nonetheless "one" is captured.
