I'm wondering if anyone here has experience with mounting prints on Gatorboard and how that impacts their archival characteristics. I have heard from a few sources that Gatorboard is not archival and will yellow any print mounted on it. I have seen some labs use ACP such as Alupanel or Dibond for mounting as the surface is PH neutral (allegedly).
Would a ph neutral adhesive such as Gudy 831 create enough of a barrier on Gatorboard to prevent the print from yellowing? Does anyone here have some sources for data on such matters?
The paper I'm working with is Epson Exhibition fiber in case that data point matters.
