Title: Photo to matte black on an Epson P7000

So, I haven't switched black inks on my Epson P7000 in several (4?) years. I plan to switch from photo to matte and am going to put a new matte cartridge in before attempting the switch.  I am wondering if there is anything else I should do prior to trying the switch.

I've found that the expiration dates on Epson ink carts don't mean much. I've run several carts that are way out of date without any problems. If your current matte black cart still has ink in it, I would just take it out and give it some gentle agitation, put it back in and do the switch.
