Several months ago, I was invited to create a gallery page with the understanding that it would be further developed. Checking today, it seems defunct. I could not delete my images. Further, if it is not going to be developed further, then I don't need to participate. So what's up with it?

Dunno Dave, but let me have a guess. :o
They completely lost interest in doing anything more about it, around 5 minutes after starting the project?
Do I win a prize for giving the correct answer already?
I think you can chalk this one up to yet another "You better stick around folks, because we are going to start doing some amazing things here"...

+1 to Dave the Brit.
A idea that is like 15-20 years late.

Perhaps five years in this case

Yes, photopxl.com has a nice platform. I defer to the three of you and since you've been around longer than I have, I'll try to think of another alternative. Seems a shame to leave Michael's legacy dangling.

But the forums over there are really QUIET, little activity. The only really active forums I know of these days are on Reddit, but those tend not to be populated by the same skill level/experience of people that used to reside here, not even close.

The forums are only as active as those that want to post. When a relevant topic is put up, there are good responses. Lots of resources at PXL.
