Title: Epson 7880 strange problem
Post by: jasonbatley on January 08, 2024, 04:55:35 am
Last week I noticed one of the black channels was partly missing on a nozzle check. I ran a cleaning cycle and a further nozzle check showed no improvement and also a cyan channel was now missing. Further cycles and eventually I'm left with just a partial yellow channel which is half yellow and half green (this had been like this for sometime before and goes solid yellow after the first print of the day.)

I did a manual clean using a folded up cloth and fluid and running the head back and forth over it, I repeated 3 times. A further nozzle check showed no improvement, just a partial yellow channel still.

Any ideas anyone? I'm panicking because I only have 2 machines and I'm in trouble if they both go down. Thanks.

I had a somewhat similar problem with my P8000 and ended up having to replace the head
