Title: Playing with IR

Shot with a Nikon Z8 with a 720 Nm filter, 14-30 f/4 @ f/8, 18 sec, ISO 100. The neat thing with the Z8 is that you can use the Starlight filter (internal feature) and see exactly what you are shooting and the Autofocus works swimmingly good. Still playing both with subject matter and conversion techniques.

Fantastic, Chris. Very happy to hear about your IR experience with the Z8; I assume the Z7ii is similar. Always wanted to try IR, but shooting in the dark seemed more work than not. Don't make fun! :D ;)

I  don't think the Z7ii has this feature.

I guess the z8 has a coverglass that prevents too much IR and UV coming through- 'starlight view' is only changing the view of things...
To get all the IR sensitivity the sensor can offer you need to have the coverglass removed.
