I've been trying to catch the color while it lasts around here so I've been going out pretty often.
I also just got voted "Best Photographer" in our little community People Choice Awards which was a nice surprise. It motivated me to shoot even more.
So here's a catch-up post from the last week or so.
First up is my eclipse shot. I had higher hopes to incorporate some landscape with it but my plan wasn't good enough and the sun was higher than I could line up with anything interesting.

Leaves are down in the higher altitude aspen groves. We call it stick season.

Crescent moon back at the creek. If I had been quicker to get set up I could have included a silhouetted owl in one of those trees but it departed before I could get a shot off. (boo)

Last night by the lake. Kind of windy and clear but I thought this image came out ok.
