Title: Lightroom displays a curve not of my making
Post by: Michael West on September 27, 2023, 10:31:12 pm
a user preset....generated curve....

ive never seen anywhere near  that many points on a curve, don't know how id ever make such a beast. but Lightroom generated it from the data in a user preset.

Did you perhaps create your preset curve in an earlier version of the "Calibration"? I have seen similar complex-looking multi-point correction curves when I applied a preset created in e.g., Version 3 while running LR's Version 6.

I suspect the curve is being adapted to compensate for differing "under the hood" tonal correction values in the more recent LR version?
