Yesterday I was hiking in a wetland area and came across a ton of honeysuckle. I felt like I was dropped in a perfume bottle. I think it is a handsome plant and decided to take a picture of it. Comments welcomed.

how sweet it is.... ;D

Beautiful and lovely background for this magnificent Honeysuckle!

degrub, francois, and Bob_B, thanks for your kind comments.

I agree, like the image but have you considered a slightly darker background? To me, the hue of the background competes with the flower.
-
David, I'll play with your suggestion.

David, here is aversion with a brownish background. I wanted to keep the image natural looking. I like it better. What do you or anyone else thinks?

Yes, that helps a lot for me. You also have the green-magenta, reddish-green dynamism going on (color wheel stuff). I meant leaves, not flower in my original reply BTW. Since we're in UC, an even darker bkg?
-
David, this one has a darker background. Your suggestion to change the background was spot on. I can't decide between the two images with the brownish background.

No, too dark, the original reddish bkg is better, IMHO. I could see the OP greenish bkg being darker, but now I'm just fiddling, Mark!
-
David, yeah, I agree.

FWIW, I prefer the first two versions. This last one is too dark for me too.
-
francois, I agree. I think the second one looks best.

Second one for me, too.

Eric, thanks for commenting.
