This place looks remote and the mood is very quiet. The snow probably transforms and muffles all the sounds except for the wind.

Yes, it is a fairly remote fjord, clod & icy in the winter.

It is a fairly remote fjord with only one gravel route leading in. This area has seen an exodus to Reykjavík in the last few decades. In earlier times, boy and girls from the farms in the community used to be matched. Now it is much harder to find a mate. Many farms lie abandoned such as the one in the post and now serve only as Summer/Fall homes.

yes, the feeling I got was the "farm" isolated by the landscape, might still be in use. but alas as you explained, not so.

regardless, your image to me reflects a time gone past,.. dare I say, all of us may feel the same.
