Title: Gamma Setting.

I apologise in advance if this is a dumb question...

If Pro Photo uses a gamma of 1.8, and if most of the work you do is in Lightroom and Photoshop; shouldn't one calibrate the display to Gamma 1.8 instead of 2.2?

I have, as per Jeff Schewe and Andrew Rodney, set Photoshop to 1.8. - but what happens in Lightroom?

Working Space gamma and display gamma do not have to match. They only share the term “gamma”; nothing more.
