Title: Phase One Lens compatibility Schneider-Kreuzschach

Hi there,

There is so little information and confusing information by Phase One which lens is compatible with which Camera Model.

Are the Schneider-Kreuzschach LS Silverring Lenses compatible with the Mamiya AFD III Series ?

For example is the Schneider-Kreuzschach 55mm LS 2.8 Silverring compatible with the AFDIII?

The 80mm Silver ring is compatible but no info on the others. Some websites claim yes some do not.
I do not need the LS on the AFD .
 
Any experience?

No LS lens is compatible with the AFDIII.

Specifically the lens will physically mount but the aperture, autofocus, shutter, and metadata will not work.

If you’re interested in such gear, know that you’re not limited to googling and websites; your local dealer should be able to provide you very fast and thorough answers even to more obscure questions (if not, search out another dealer).

Are Blue Rings compatible with an older Mamiya 645D etc?

Andy,  Blue Ring lenses (and LS lenses, which were mentioned previously by Doug) are not compatible with any Mamiya 645 body previous to the DF/DF+/XF models.
