Has anyone changed to Windows 11? I had heard that there was trouble with colour management. Any problems with plug-ins? Microsoft keep nagging but I am reluctant to upgrade having had a bad experience going from 7 to 10.

MS/Eizo/X-rite fixed the color management issues (at least that affected me).
Having said that, there is not much reason to update to Windows 11. It is Windows 10 with a number of useful features removed and some nice window dressing (settings much improved and a number of components now have a dark, mode but not all). Now for this yeas update (22H2 ) they are gradually adding in the Windows 10 features that they remove (like folders in the start menu), so it will be Windows 10 again.
My opinion, though I am on 11, don't bother.

If where you are works, don't change it for change sake.
Generally speaking, OS upgrades need to be forced - like in order to run XZ software you need to be on Windows 11. But that's not the case (yet) for anything.

I bought a new desktop tower from Dell. It came with 11
Sp far it seems to operate very well. No problems. I like the way it quickly sizes a number of screens so you can see all at the same time. I'm running Ligjtroom 6 licensed Premier Elements video and photoshop Elements.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Many thanks to you all for your input. I will stick with 10, but if I ever make a mistake and tick the wrong box in one of Microsoft's irritating nagging messages at least I know that it won't be the end of the world!

There's a regedit to 'lock' yourself to a version of Windows 10 - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-stop-or-block-windows-11-update/9f271456-51dd-4716-b69d-0834d552ca83
