Gorgeous, Rajan. You rendered this one superbly, the interplay of the colors and tones really sings.

Never thought that Iceland in Autumn could be so beautiful! thanks for showing.

Really nice.

+1 to all the praise.

Arlen, Pieter, Paulo, and Eric - thank you.
Pieter - Autumn is Iceland is very colourful, especially in the Northeast, Eastfjords, and Westfjords, but has a very different form from what one encounters in New England or Europe. The mountain slopes transform into brilliant, multihued carpets, and the birch & rowan turn colour as well. There are a few localized patches of larch and aspens, too.

Just enjoyable in every way.

When i think of Iceland ( was there in late august 2000) I think of the climate as windy ,wet and cold... Is that you perception too? Than Autumn must be the top...
I saw some beautiful photos of the large waterfalls in wintertime with snow and ice... that is something i would like to see, experience...
Are the winters in Iceland like that often? or like in Holland mostly around zero and wet snow...

Iceland in Summer (late-May, June, July, August) and Winter (mid-Oct to mid-April) are like entirely two different countries. The Winters are beautiful and the low sub-Arctic light, to die for.
Iceland is wet, windy, cold, dry, still, sunny, cloudy, and snowy (in the winters) - all of those things. However, if one part of the country has a certain weather mood, usually some other part of the island has the opposite of those conditions. And even within a location, the changes can be quick. Icelanders are programmed from a very early age to never step out of the home without checking the weather as well as road conditions. And as the old Nordic saying goes: "There is no such thing as bad weather; only badly dressed people."
