Title: quinault rainforest

from a hike in the quinault rainforest in olympic national park.  it was my first visit to a rainforest.  i was surprised by how dark it was under the canopy.  but i'd planned for a shot like this and knew i'd need to focus stack, so i had my tripod with me on the hike.

flickr seems to have made this one a little crunchy, despite using the same resize and sharpen settings i always use on web images.  but the original looks fine so i'm not sweating it.
