Title: Best Used Fine Art Printer in the $1500 - $2500 Range

I closed my 30 year portrait and wedding studio several years ago. I did a lot of printing with the Epson 7600, but I’ve been out of the printing market for several years now.

I’m looking for a fine art printer that will, preferably do 24” wide, but 16” might work too.

I do a lot of bw and would prefer not to switch inks… Thinking that I’ll mostly print on some sort of fine art paper, not so much on luster or glossy.

I want to keep the price in the $1500-$2500 range and would like to use larger ink cartridges.

Appreciate your thoughts.

If you do a lot of B&W I'd look at an HP Z3100. It delivers amazing B&W prints and does OK on colour. Easily can be found for under $1,000 for a 24" model. The HP printers are user maintainable with a bit of effort.

 The P6000 new priceis $2195 and it takes up to 700 ml carts. Great output. You do have to switch blacks inks.
We run mostly matte canvas and rarely switch black inks, for us no big deal.

My Canon ipf6400 is still going strong and I only paid $400 for it (found it on Craigslist) and the inks last longer than the newer inkset from Canon.
