Title: Windex and print heads

More than one person has suggested using Windex for unclogging print heads. I was going to try it but fortunately did some research first. It turn out to be a really bad idea: https://imagescience.com.au/knowledge/never-ever-use-windex-on-your-print-head

One person says it shouldn't be used, lots of others say it works.

Original Windex worked for me.

It worked for me with hp heads.
I use Glassex here ( Netherlands) similar- it contains ammonia…

I use the machine cleaning- printing and Glassex.

I once owned four, Epson 4900 printers.  That model is legendary for being the most-clog prone printer ever made.   

My main de-clogging method was Windex drenched paper towels under the print heads.  I probably used gallons in the three years I used those machines.   Eventually, I grew tired of wasting ink, time, and money in a never ending battle with clogs.  I could rid the blockages for awhile, but they always returned.  I finally gave up and moved to another brand. 

In my experience, I found Windex with ammonia to be effective and dramatically cheaper than that $300 per gallon (50% water, various alcohols, dye, etc.), purpose made, liquid gold.

Everyone cautions against using Windex, but I never experienced any negative issues.
